Liliann Chrystall (1926 to 2022) was a  well known, celebrated Auckland architect and an Old Girl of AGGS.  We were honoured, humbled and very grateful that her old school was remembered in her will with a most generous bequest of $100,000.  Lilliann accomplished a number of firsts in her lifetime, she was the first female architect to win a national level award in 1967, the first female fellow of the Te Kāhui Whaihanga NZ Institute of Architects and the first female University studio tutor at the Auckland University College School of Architecture way back in 1949.  She was also the first woman to sit on the ASB Board of Trustees.
