Senior Prizegiving is always a very special occasion and one of the highlights of the school year, when our students are recognised and celebrated for their achievements. This year, once again our students were awarded an amazing number of scholarships and grants – just a few of these included:
- 9 University of Auckland scholarships – including 3 Top Achiever Scholarships and 1 University of Auckland Pacific Excellence Scholarship (awarded for exceptional academic ability, leadership and achievement)
- 7 AUT University School Leaver Scholarships
- 6 University of Otago Scholarships – one for Academic Excellence
- 1 Waikato University School Leaver Scholarship
- our co-Head Girl, Husna Nazari, in addition to winning one of the University of Auckland Excellence Scholarships was also awarded a prestigious Sir George Elliott Tertiary Scholarship – three scholarships of $25,000 are awarded to students who apply from throughout the country. Husna travelled with the Principal and our Student Services Director to Wellington to receive the scholarship from the Governor General.
The Louise Gardner Scholarship of $24,000 to cover tuition fees and costs for tertiary study for three years in memory of ex-Headmistress, Miss Louise Gardner was awarded to Farzeenat Hasan
A Keystone Trust Scholarship of $15,000 and mentoring over three years was awarded to Lose Tameilau
2 Te Kuhunga Hugo Charitable Trust Law Schools Scholarships were awarded – these include a mentor with the law firm Meredith Connell and
