We were very saddened to hear of the passing of two of our long serving English and ESOL teachers; Carol Gribble on 31 October and Glenn Sinclair less than two weeks later on 13 November. Mrs Gribble taught at AGGS for 20 years from 1988 to 2008. She cared deeply about her students and their achievements and worked tirelessly to support and encourage them; she was a teacher who knew how to teach and how to inspire her students to learn. Ms Sinclair taught at AGGS for 26 years from 1988 to July last year; so, her death coming so soon after her retirement is very sad indeed. A tribute from a colleague in the Herald reads "Many fond memories of our passionate discussions around those educational and language themes. Your legacy lives on in the people you have motivated and inspired."
